Device for opening and closing the interior space of a side spill plate

The invention deals with a device for opening and closing a side spill plate 3 which accommodates the shearer cable 4 and/or the water hose 5 of a winning machine 1 in underground use. This spill plate 3 is provided with a face-side withdrawal opening 6 which extends over the length of the spill plate and is closed off tight against debris by an elastic strip 7. The winning machine 1 reaches with an extension 10 into the interior space 11 of the spill plate and passes the end of the shearer cable 4 and/or water hose 5 into the machine body by means of this extension 10. For this purpose, two deflector elements 12a, 12b are allocated to the machine extension 10. The deflector elements 12a, 12b lie in mirror image to one another, are located on opposite sides of the extension and both enclose the bottom edge 9 of the strip 7 in a positive-locking but longitudinally displaceable manner and lead the strip 7 across the machine extension back into its closing position. <IMAGE>
