Method and device for calibration of a measured value display device for a circularly cylindrical bore measuring sleeve (6) of known diameter, having at least one probe element (pins 8), which is supported in the sleeve wall in a manner able to move radially against a restoring force, serves the purpose of contacting the wall of a bore, of relatively large diameter, to be measured, and is smaller than the distance of the probe element contact point from the diametrical sleeve point or contact point of another, diametrical probe element (8), if each probe element contact point is at its maximum distance from the sleeve centre.
