MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ABRASIVE WHEEL

PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture thin cutting abrasive wheels readily strained by uniforming spaces between each of abrasive grains overall the abrasive wheel by charging coated grains uniformly coated with bonding agent by means of injection pressure into the space in a mold. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of abrasive grain and bonding agent is charged from the end of the rotary shaft 7 of a injection unit 6. Then the rotary shaft 7 is rotated at a high speed and the mixture is injected from the injection nozzle 9 of a container 8 at the center section of a mold 1 in the radial direction to the space in the mold 1 at a required speed. This injection arranges the mixture like a stone wall and charges it in the space keeping this arrangement and uniforming spaces between each of abrasive grains by means of centrifugal force caused by rotation of the mold 1. And then, after the upper section 2 of the mold 1 is removed from the lower section 3, the mixture is pressed by a press machine to form an abrasive wheel having a specified dimensions.
