PURPOSE:To prevent both the solidification in the initial period of moisture absorption of calcium chloride and the recrystallization due to air temp. differ ence thereafter by containing the specified gelatinizer into calcium chloride. CONSTITUTION:hygroscopic agent composition is obtained by adding one or more kinds of gelatinizers selected among lambda type carrageenan, potato- extraction starch, alkylene oxide addition of alpha-starch and konjak mannan to the powder or the granule of CaCl2. It is sealed or housed and packed by using a permeable film. Since CaCl2 is softly gelatinized by using this hygroscopic composition, the leakage of liquid is not caused by the pinholes of film package or the perpation due to the external factor and the tumbling of the vessel, etc.
