PURPOSE:To equalize the flow rate distribution of cooling water and to enlarge the controlling range of cooling capacity by providing a slat-shaped nozzle to the upper side of a side wall, and falling the cooling water from its front tip. CONSTITUTION:A slat-shaped nozzle 3 is approximately horizontally provided to the upper side of a side wall 2 of header 1, and many cooling water discharging ports are provided to the lower side of a water supply pipe 4. The cooling water supplied to the pipe 4 overflows the side wall 2, and falls from the front tip of nozzle 3 through the nozzle 3 in a state of laminar discharging flow 8. The required length L of a horizontal flow passage is experimentally obtained based on a variance reference-value of the flow rate in the slat width direction. By this method, the turbulence of discharging flow due to air intrusion is eliminated, and the uniform flow of supply water is obtained without being disturbed by the variation of a dynamic pressure of supply water. Accordingly, the flow rat distribution is equalized, and the controlling range of cooling capacity is enlarged. |
