PURPOSE:To produce a high-luminance back light lamp of low electric power consumption which can be used even at low temperatures by coating a transparent electrode film formed on the inner surface of the transparent tube with a fluorescent paint and installing a filament in the internal space of the transparent tube. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode film 12 formed on the inner surface of a transparent tube is coated with a fluorescent paint 13. An oxide-coated filament 14 is connected to a lead wire 19. When current is applied to the filament 14 through the lead wire 19, electrons are emitted from the oxide adhering to the filament 14. At the same time, current is also applied to a transparent electrode film 12. As the result, the electrons are drawn by the transparent electrode film 12 and bump against the fluorescent paint 13 adhering to the surface of the transparent electrode film 12 to make the fluorescent paint 13 emit light. Since the electrons directly stimulate the fluorescent paint 13 to make it emit light, there is no possibility that the paint 13 emits light with reduced efficiency or luminance reductions are caused at low temperatures. |
