In an exhaust conduit of an internal-combustion engine which can be separated non-destructively at at least one point, next to at least one separating point a cavity 16 is provided into which can be pushed axially a body 17, coated with a catalyser substance, with radial play. This results in the capability for rapid, problem-free installation and removal, and replacement of the catalyser body 17. Since the catalyser is not, as is usual, a component of the exhaust conduit, one and the same exhaust conduit can be used with or without the catalyser. <IMAGE> |
