PURPOSE:To form the quenching part of a uniform surface area and depth on the part of the surface area of an object to be worked, and to make the hardness of the object to be worked uniformly by placing a multiple reflecting mirror in front of the object to be worked, in case when a laser beam is irradiated to the object to be worked. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 10 having an ununiform energy distribution, which has passed through a focal lens 6 is dispersed and advances,and when it is irradiated to the inside surface of a multiple reflecting mirror 9, it is reflected repeatedly many times by the inside surface, the laser beam 10 is dispersed, and a uniform laser beam is irradiated to an object to be worked 7. A quenching part in which a part L of the surface area and a depth H have been made uniform is formed on one surface of the object to be worked 7, and a hardness of a member to be worked is made uniform. |
