PURPOSE:To improve solderability, wettability, etc. by incorporating specific weight % of 3-methylpentane-1,3,5-triol into a flux and compounding an activator such as amine therewith. CONSTITUTION:The flux is constituted by incorporating 3-methylpentane-1,3,5- triol at >=5% of the total weight of the flux and compounding the activator consisting of an amine such as ethylamine or propylamine or an org. acid such as malonic acid or succinic acid at 0.1-10% therewith. The 3-methylpentane-1,3,5- triol component acts together with the activator to improve solderability. The flux which has the effect of removing oxides, stains, etc. and has no problems such as evaporation, scattering and moisture absorption is obtd. |
