PURPOSE:To enhance the closability of a door to aim at preventing air in the passenger's compartment of an automobile from being excessively vented, by providing such an arrangement that a shut-off valve provided in the edge part of door mounting opening of a vehicle body, for opening and closing a venting port for air in a passenger's compartment, is opened upon opening of a door and closed upon full-closing of the door in accordance with a door opening and closing detection signal. CONSTITUTION:Upon opening of a door 2 a detecting element 12 in a detecting member 10 is projected outward of a vehicle body under the force of a set spring 13, and an actuating rod 16 is moved downward to move a valve element 8 in a shut-off valve 5 in the opening direction thereof in association with the rotation of a bell crank 17. Upon closing of the door the detecting element 12 is retracted so that the bellcrank 17 is swung upward to move the actuating rod 16 so that the shut-off valve 5 is closed. At this time the shut-off valve 5 is gradually closed until the door is fully closed, and is fully closed when the door is fully closed. Accordingly, the venting of air in the passenger's compartment upon closing of the door is continuously carried out, thereby the closeability of the door is not hindered, and the valve is fully closed while the door is fully closed so that it is possible to prevent air from excessively vented. |
