PURPOSE:To check the yawing moment produced around the center of gravity of a car to the smallest possible extent as well as to improve braking stability in the car so better, by controlling braking hydraulic pressure so as to cause a braking output differential between symmetrical wheels to be confined in the setting range, in time of automatic brake control. CONSTITUTION:In time of braking a car by automatic brake control, hydraulic pressure to each wheel cylinder 4 of both front and rear wheels 3 from a master cylinder 2 is intercepted by a brake controlling actuator 20, while hydraulic pressure in the wheel cylinder 4 is controlled for increment to decrement. The actuator 20 is operated by hydraulic pressure out of a pressure source 12. And, on the basis of an output signal out of a braking output detecting device 44, the pressure out of the pressure source 12 is regulated so as to cause a braking output differential between these symmetrical wheels 3 to be confined within the setting range by a controller 34. With this constitution, yawing moment to be produced in the car is effectively restrained. |
