<p>PURPOSE:To form a coloring matter composed of three colors and having excellent spectral characteristics by partially overlapping color patterns composed of a cyan and a yellow coloring matters. CONSTITUTION:In a manufacture of the color filter composed of three colors by partially overlapping layers of the coloring matters consisting of two color dyestuffs of a complementary type, one of the coloring matter comprises mainly a phthalocyanine (cyan) dyestuff, another one of the coloring matter comprises mainly an isoindolinone (yellow) dyestuff, and said layers of the coloring matters are formed by a vapor-deposition. The phthalocyanine deystuff forms a cyan colors layer having an excellent spectral characteristic and also an excellent vapor-depositing and solvent resistance properties due to a chemical and a thermal stabilizations of a phthalocyanine skeleton structure. In the color filter, the yellow coloring matter having a sharp building up characteristic and good vapor-depositing and solvent resistance properties comparable to those of the phthalocyanine dyestuff is required. Since the layer of the coloring matter is formed by the vapor-deposition, and the isoindolinone dyestuff satisfies all the above described requirements, a green colored coloring layer having an excellent vapor depositing property may be formed by combing said deystuff and the phthalocyanine dyestuff.</p> |
