PURPOSE:To operate efficiently magnification setting by constituting a titled unit in such a manner that a magnification settable region is divided to plurality and that the upper limit of each divided magnification setting region is positioned at the intermediate value of the upper magnification setting range. CONSTITUTION:The operator pushes down a reduction magnification selector key 12 when the operator desires to take a copy at, for example, 70% reduction. A magnification region display device 11a is then lighted up and the magnification can be continuously set in a 60-80% reduction range. The operator pushes down the key 12 again when the operator desires to take a copy at 80% reduction. The device 11a is then lighted up and the magnification can be continuously set in 70-90% reduction range. A variable volume control 5 is thereafter operated and is set at 80%, by which the magnification setting operation is finished. The operator pushes down the key 12 again when the operator desires to take a copy at 90% reduction. The magnification region display device 11c is then liquid up and the magnification is continuously set in a 80-100% reduction range. |
