PURPOSE:To prepare L-glutamic acid (G), by culturing strains having improved productivity, resistant to G or its analog. CONSTITUTION:Strains, e.g. Brevibacterium lactofermentum AJ11292 (FERM- P No.4585) and AJ11293 (FERM-P No. 4586), which are varied and derived from the L-glutamic acid (G) producing bacteria belonging to the genuses Brevibacterium or Corynebacterium by the conventional method, and resistant to G or its analog, are cultured aerobically in a liquid medium. The resulting G is then collected. |
