PURPOSE:To detect all kinds of colored contaminants included in raw cotton, by forming the raw cotton to a thin laminated web cotton in the cotton collecting part of a transfer path, and examining the color of the raw cotton belt. CONSTITUTION:The raw cotton is transferred from the pneumatic duct 3 to the cotton collecting part 11, captured to the surface of the cages 15, 15 in the form of thin laminates, dangled, and sent downward in the form of a belt by the transfer means 12. Inspection windows 32 are attached to both sides of the raw cotton path between the intermediate feed rollers 22, 22 and the bottom feed rollers 23, 23, and a pair of color sensors 36, 36 are attached opposite to the transparent glass plates 33, 33 of the windows 32.
