PURPOSE:To enable stable acceleration by anticipating the synchronizing time of speed changer then modifying the speed change characteristic on the basis of the results. CONSTITUTION:If the selected stage of gear determined on the basis of the stepping of accelerator pedal 11 is lower than current stage, stepping of accelerator pedal 11 will cause an electronic controller 9 to control a speed change actuator 5 such that the gear is maintained at current stage on the condition that the car speed detected through a car speed sensor 8b is higher than setting level and the oil temperature is dropped below setting level. Consequently, speed change delay due to kickdown is prevented to start acceleration from current gear stage while shifted down to selected stage upon climbing of steep hill thus to realize quick acceleration through kickdown and high torque performance resulting in stable acceleration. |
