PURPOSE:To improve the operationability by shifting down a speed changer if the car speed will decrease continuously under the condition where the throttle opening is higher than predetermined level, increasing or maintained constant after increase. CONSTITUTION:An accelerator pedal 128 is provided with a movement sensor 126 the output from which is fed to a microcomputer 116 and to shift down a speed changer irrespectively of a speed change map if the car speed will decrease continuously for predetermined time under the condition that the throttle opening is higher than predetermined level, increasing or maintained constant after increase. Consequently, if deceleration can not be prevented only through operation of accelerator pedal because of improper speed change stage, shift- down is executed in short time to enable prevention of deceleration resulting in improvement of operationability. |
