PURPOSE:To obtain a pattern collation with high accuracy by reflecting a displayed standard pattern with a seimitransparent body, making it into an image viewed from a sight point, and making a collated pattern almost vertical for the eyes from the sight point. CONSTITUTION:A luminous flux of a standard pattern 36 displayed at a display device 15 is reflected by a half mirror 19, transmits a transparent glass 17 and reaches a sight point 18 of a collator. The collator watches as if there is the standard pattern on media 21. On the other hand, the luminous flux of a collated pattern 23 on the media 21 transmits the half mirror 19 and the transparent glass 17 and reaches the sight point of the collator. The collator collates the pattern by overlapping the standard pattern 36 viewed from the sight point 18 and the collated pattern 23. In this case, the collator watches the media 21, from the sight point 18, where the collated pattern is installed, slides and rotates this on a media set stand 20, and overlaps two patterns. This operation is very easy because of the existence of a notching part 24.
