PURPOSE:To execute the characteristic test of a repeater in detail by isntalling a pulse signal generating circuit part to prepare respective pulse rows, a trans mitting data setting part to set address data and control data, a transmitting data output part and a luminous display element and a least making different the luminous display element corresponding to the bit for checking a repeater and a luminous color of the luminous display element of other bit. CONSTITUTION:Prescribed transmitting data DP is formed at a transmitting data output part 6 and a transmitting data setting part 5 and sent through a linking part 10. At the called repeater 2, a return signal RD is returned based upon its own checking contents and control data. At a return signal display part 7 receiving the return signal RD, when a bit of a checking of the repeater 2 is H, corresponding luminous display elements L1 and L5 light up, and when it is H in the bit except a checking, corresponding luminous display elements L2-L4 and L6-L9 light up. Here, the luminous color of the luminous display elements L1 and L5 and the luminous display elements L2-L4 and L6-L9 is made different, for example, to blue and yellow, and the display contents can be known without fail.
