PURPOSE:To automatically detect the end of reinforcement cord and control the driving of the title device by a structure wherein a cord measuring mechanism is provided between cord tension adjustment mechanisms and a creel stand further a cord detector is provided between the cord tension adjustment mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Latticed screen-like reinforcement cord K is drawn out of a creel stand 20 together with the forming of cord material W in order to successively record the length of the cord K on the counter 42 of a cord measuring mechanism 40. When the length recorded on the counter 42 reaches the initial set value, the cylinders 37 and 37a of cord tension adjustment mechanisms 30b and 30a lower pinch rolls 38. After a certain period of time had past, the braking devices of guide rolls 34 are put into actuation so as to apply tension to the cord K. When the end part of the cord K passes over the adjustment mechanism 30b, said end part sags by gravity and comes into contact with a detector 50, which stops a calendering roll device 10 and other driving devices upon contact. |
