PURPOSE:To obtain a video transmission system ensuring a lot of channels for video signals with a limited band by transmitting an analog video signal from each video signal transmitter on a transmission line on time division basis. CONSTITUTION:Plural video signal transmitters 23a-23n, plural monitors 25a-25n, a main controller 27, and a pilot signal generator 29 are connected to a couple of transmission lines 21. Further, an analog video signal is transmitted to a transmission line 21a from the video signal transmitters 23a-23n, and received and reproduced by the monitors 25a-25n. The main controller 27 commands the transmission timing of the video signal to the transmitters 23a-23n, assigns the main controller information to each device and transmitted on the transmission line 21 at a prescribed interval. Each video signal transmitter 23 supervises an outgoing transmission line 21b and detects the main control information corresponding to the own device, then transmits the video signal to the incoming transmission line 21a after a prescribed time.
