PURPOSE:To perform precise machining of a hole by means of a wire electrode by applying perforation machining to a work to be machined with a pipe electrode incorporating a wire electrode of minute diameter and by extracting a pipe from a machined hole while keeping the wire electrode as being inserted therein. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode 1 supplied from a role 10 is inserted in a pipe electrode 2 which makes perforation machining and electrical discharge machining is carried out by coaxially arranged electrodes 1, 2 and a through hole 6 is formed on a work to be machined 5. And the pipe electrode 2 is pulled out of the hole 6 and the through hole 6 is applied electrical discharge machining by the wire electrode 1 while winding the electrode 1 to the lower portion of the hole 6 at a predetermined speed, and precise finish machining is obtained. |
