PURPOSE:To allow the air conditioning in which the surrounding area of the user may be air-conditioned at a desired temperature without performing the manual switching operation by an arrangement in which the operation of the air conditioner is automatically controlled by a room temperature sensor of a remote control unit when a signal indicating the presence of a user is inputted from a user presence identifying device. CONSTITUTION:When a human body A is present in a certain range, a remote control device 2 sends a control signal to an air conditioner 1 by the control of a control circuit 11, and its operation is controlled by the temperature detected by a room temperature sensor 3B of the device 2. When the human body A is not present in said range, the control circuit 11 detects the output signal from the device 2 to forward same to a control circuit 19 on the air conditioner unit side 1 to effect the switching from the sensor 3B to a room temperature sensor 3A of the main unit 1. Then the main unit 1 is controlled by the sensor 3A. Therefore, by programming a control device 4 in advance to so that the setting value on the main body side may be slightly higher by selecting the room temperature setting by the device 2, the power consumption can be reduced when the user A moves away from the remote control device 2 to other place. |
