PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of distance to an object by one of the two image pick-up device to simplify the focusing and follow the object of wide distance variation by turning the other device to an angle of the convergence computed and achieve the convergence. CONSTITUTION:The angle of rotation of a motor 12 is detected by a resolver 14. Based on the detection signal, an arithmetic circuit 33 calculates the length of move of a lens 11, and further based on this length of move, calculates the distance to the object, and supplies the distance signal to an arithmetic circuit 34. In the circuit 34, the center distance between the two image pick-up device 1 and 2 is stored beforehand. The circuit 34, from this center distance and the inputted distance to the object, calculates the necessary angle of rotation of the device 2 in order to fit the convergence, and supplies the rotation signal of an amount necessary for the angle of rotation to a motor 9, so that the optical paths of device 1 and 2 converge at the place of the object to shoot. |
