<p>The problem addressed by this invention is that most electronic and other electrical equipment is designed to operate at a particular voltage level which is either AC or DC. If the wrong voltage level or type of current is used, damage may result. This invention solves this problem, and is distinguishable from other inventions, by sensing the voltage level, and preferably also whether the current is AC or DC. Electrical loads are connected in parallel when the voltage is sensed to be in the desired range. Such loads are connected in series where the input voltage is not in the desired range to produce the appropriate output voltage. Preferably the output voltage is converted from one of AC and DC to the other of AC and DC where necessary.</p> |
