<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of directly confirming the remaining quantity of paper sheets by detecting the height of a table based on the table travel known in a table elevation mechanism and mounting, on an operation panel, a display means for indicating the remaining quantity of paper sheets correspondingly to the detected values of height. CONSTITUTION:When the stocked quantity of paper sheet is reduced as paper feeding process progresses, causing a drop of the upper end level of stacked paper sheet together with increase in left ward slant angle of the paper feed head 1, a detection lever 15 moves across a photo-sensor 4. Based upon said result of detection, a drive motor 20 is turned clockwise to raise a table 3. Therefore, the top end of the paper sheet stack 30 is also raised further to push up a paper feed belt 10, and the paper feed head 1. Accordingly, the paper feed head 1 makes clockwise turn and the motor 20 stops at a position where the detection lever 15 no more moves across the sensor 4. The rotation of said motor 20 is transmitted to a rotary encoder 26 which transmits pulses to a control unit every turn of a constant angle. The control unit counts the number of output pulse transmitted from the encoder 26 and excites LED on a remaining paper sheet quantity indicator in response to the counted value.</p> |
