PURPOSE:To produce the titled polyester useful as a material for paints for cushion floor, by reacting a polyalcohol allyl ether with a polybasic acid and a specified polyalcohol. CONSTITUTION:A polyalcohol of a MW of 500-3,000 selected from among a polyether glycol and a hydroxyl group-containing liquid polybutadiene is used. Namely, 1pt.mol. polybasic acid (e.g., maleic anhydride) is reacted with about 0.2-1.2pts.mol above polyalcohol (B) and about 0.1pt.mol or above (in terms of allyl ether groups) polyalcohol allyl ether (e.g., pentaerythritol allyl ether) at 150-250 deg.C in an inert gas atmosphere. As said polyalcohol component, a combination of said polyalcohol with a common polyalcohol such as ethylene glycol may be used.
