PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of cooling power of a cooling device as well as overload of a compressor by a method wherein a bypass pipeline is provided in the refrigerant pipeline of the cooling device for the motorcar through a valve and the fuel cooling device for motorcar is arranged in the pipeline while said valve is opened and closed in accordance with the temperature of the fuel. CONSTITUTION:The cooling device for motorcar compresses the refrigerant thereof by the compressor 23, driven by an engine 21 through a belt 22, cools the refrigerant by a condenser 25 to liquefy it, thereafter, introduces it into an evaporator 28 through an expansion valve 27 to evaporate it and cools air in the cabine of the car by the evaporation heat. In such cooling device, the bypass pipeline 32 is provided in the pipeline from the evaporator 28 to the compressor 23 through a three-way solenoid value 30 while the fuel cooler 31 is provided in the pipeline 32. The solenoid valve 30 is controlled by a control unit 35 based on the detecting temperature of a fuel temperature sensor 34 and the refrigerant is introduced into the fuel cooler 31 only in case the fuel temperature is high. |
