摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the response and the follow-up characteristics by calculating the actuator control quantity on the basis of the feedback gain, the feed- forward gain and parameters obtained by a dynamic model of a position control system for an overflow timing control member used in the titled apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In the titled apparatus, the position of an overflow timing control member M2 is controlled by an actuator M3 on the basis of an aimed position of the overflow timing control member M2 corresponding to the injection quantity of fuel of an engine determined by the operational conditions of the engine and the actual position of the member M2 detected by a position detecting means M4. Here, an actuator control means M5 is constituted by a condition observing section M7 for assuming condition variables by use of parameters selected for use according to a dynamic model of the control system and a section M9 for determining the actuator controlling quantity from the above condition variables, feedback gain determined in the above dynamic model, etc. Further, according to the present invention, arrangement is such that the above parameters and/or the feedback gain can be changed according to the output of a means M6 for detecting the physical properties of fuel.
