PURPOSE:To regulate the supply amount of damping water onto the surface of plate cylinder with high precision, by a method wherein a damping water supply chamber is interconnected to a water supply source and further, the water pressure in the chamber is variably regulated. CONSTITUTION:When a water fountain roller 22 is rotated in a specific direction, the surface driven ducter roller 26 and form damping roller are rotated, too. The water of a specific pressure is supplied to a porous roller body 28 from a damping water supply chamber 34 via a hole part 32 and oozes from the body 28. The damping water exposed on the surface is transferred onto the roller 26. Excess water falls onto a pan 20 and is discharged outside with a drain hole 21. The water of a water tank 40 is supplied to the roller 22 via the flexible tube 38 to the supply chamber 34 formed inside a roller shaft 30. The water pressure of damping water supplied in the supply chamber 34 can be controlled by the water head regulation due to the control of the height H of the tank 40. Therefore, the amount of water successively supplied onto the surface of plate cylinder from roller groups can be easily regulated and the sure high precise supply control of damping water can be performed. |
