PURPOSE:A gun-type burner is set on the outlet side of the first kiln, allowed to blow flame horizontally and controlled by measuring the temperature of the center of the kiln to set the temperature at the bottom of the first kiln as prescribed, whereby the control error is reduced. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous tea-leaf roaster, a gun type burner 6 is set on the outlet side of the first kiln 1 and allowed to blow flame horizontally. A temperature sensor 2 is set in the first kiln 1 and connected with lead wire 3 to the slip ring 4 and the slip ring is connected with lead wire 3 to the control panel, further joined to the burner 6. The combustion temperature is controlled by means of the burner 6 according to the temperature inside the kiln.
