PURPOSE:To get rid of unevenness in aquareness as well as to improve efficiency ever so better, by sticking a blockish floppy head tip fast to the slide surface in turning a vertical surface to horizontality, while rotating it by 90 deg. in time of grooving, and using a stairlike jig in time of multi-row grooving. CONSTITUTION:A vertical surface of a floppy head tip 1 made up in block-form on an inner surface of a tiered working jig 2 is stuck fast to the slide surface and, after a work is stuck to the jig, set to a machine after rotating the jig by 90 deg.. Next, positioning for a grinding wheel takes place after setting, and each row is ground, in order with an automatic indexing device for a spindle position.
