<p>PURPOSE:To improve the effect of vocal exercises and, at the same time, to miniaturize a device for making vocal exercises, by finding a reference value by calculating the syllable-wise average time length of each time length of every phonetic and silent sections detected from sound signals and comparing the time length of every phonetic and silent sections detected from sound signals and comparing the time length of the phonetic or silent section fixed by a designated word with the reference value. CONSTITUTION:Exercise data, such as kinds of notable sections, whether the sections are phonetic sections or silent sections, syllables of the sections, etc, are stored in a storage device 11 and the time length of each section is detected by separating sounds inputted from a microphone 9 through an input controlling circuit 10 into phonetic sections and silent sections by means of a section time length detecting circuit 12, and then, the average value of each syllable is calculated by a divider circuit 13 by dividing the sum of the time lengths by the number of notable syllables from the device 11. Furthermore, a reference value defined in accordance with the average values is compared with the phonetic sections or silent sections fixed by words for exercise out of the sections obtained by the circuit 12 at a comparator circuit 15 and a guide by a guide implementing circuit 16 is caused to be displayed by a display device 17 after correctness in pronounciation is discriminated.</p> |
