PURPOSE:To promote fuel to be atomized into a fine particle and improve low temperature startability of an engine when it is in a low temperature, by providing a passage, which introduces bleed air, in a starting fuel passage of a starting fuel device supplying starting fuel to the downstream of a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:A device, connecting an air bleed passage 20 with a starting fuel passage 9 on its half way and opening an inlet of the passage 20 to the internal wall of a throttle body 4 in the upstream of a throttle valve 6, enables bleed air to be introduced to the starting fuel passage 9. Now the device, if an engine 1 is started by placing a solenoid operated valve 11, 12 opening and closing the starting fuel passage 9 and a bypass air passage 10 respectively in an open condition, allows starting fuel and bypass air to flow in the both passages 9, 10 being mixed in their confluent point and jetted to the downstream of the throttle valve 6 in an intake passage. Here the device mixing the starting fuel with the bleed air introduced from the air bleed passage 20 and forming the fuel in an emulsion state joining with the bypass air, enables atomization to be promoted. |
