PURPOSE:To improve the temperature distribution in a room in a space heating operation to enable air-conditioning, by providing a blower which feeds air within a room to be air-conditioned to a heat exchanger, an auxiliary air flow passage provided so that air within the room to be air-conditioned is bypassed to the heat exchanger, in the primary side space of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:At the time of a space heating operation, when the temperature of blow-off air blown off through an exhaust port 7 is high, an auxiliary blower 12 is operated, and air having a low temperature within a room 16 to be air-conditioned is exhausted through an auxiliary exhaust port 9, upon this occasion such a Coanda effect that an air current in an auxiliary air flow passage 10 flows along a guide wall 17 is generated by the guide wall 17 and an air flow direction control wall 18 provided in the vicinity of the auxiliary exhaust port 9, and an exhaust air current from the auxiliary exhaust port 9 is exhausted along a main body cabinet 4. This air current is amalgamated with the exhaust air from the exhaust port 7 thereby to make heavy the specific gravity of the blow-off air current and to reduce the difference between said specific gravity and the specific gravity of air within the room to be air-conditioned. Thus, the temperature distribution within the room to be air- conditioned is improved and comfortable air-conditioning is carried out. |
