PURPOSE:To prevent an accident due to the penetration of molten steel into a joint and to enable efficient construction by combining tuyere brick inserted from the outside with sleeve brick enclosing the tuyere brick formed by piling up sleeve refractories up to the top of the tuyere brick so that the joints in the sleeve refractories do not coincide with the joints in the tuyere brick. CONSTITUTION:A bottom blowing tuyere of a converter is obtd. by combining tuyere brick 5 inserted from the outside with sleeve brick 9 enclosing the tuyere brick 5 formed by piling up quartering pyramidal sleeve refractories 9a-9c up to the top of the tuyere brick so that the joints in the sleeve refractories do not coincide with the joints in the tuyere brick. The tuyere brick 5 is formed by piling up combined pyramidal refractories 5a-5d having a central hole 8 in which a blowpipe 6 is inserted. |
