PURPOSE:To enable smooth and reliable automation of centering, by a method wherein centering is automatically completed by rolling, and a work amount required for centering is extremely decreased by rolling friction factor. CONSTITUTION:When a point A of contact is moved to an ideal conical surface and centering is completed, a wheel 15 on the rotation side is rotated along the ideal conical surface during rotation of a diaphragm spring 6, slide contact surfaces of two members are brought into surface contact with each other and are limited by slip friction. Meanwhile, the end surface of a wheel 16 on the stationary side is also limited by slip friction. The ideal conical surface is always changed occasioned by wear of a clutch disc and wear of the contact part between the diaphragm spring 6 and a rolling bearing. But, resistance produced during centering action of a bearing is extremely low, centering is effected so that the point of contact is positioned to a current ideal conical surface, and this enables smooth automation of centering. |
