PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer coefficient in the air side of the fin and contrive the miniaturization as well as increasing of the performance of the heat exchanger by a method wherein a plurality of standing walls, slanted with respect to the flow direction of air stream, and provided on the front and rear sides of the fin to promote the disturbance of the air stream and reduce dead water areas in the rear stream of a heat transfer tube. CONSTITUTION:The standing walls 10, 11, provided with a slant angle 9 with respect to the flow direction 8 of the air stream, are provided on the front and rear sides of the fin 5. When the air stream collides against the standing wall 10, vertical upward flow and a flow along the front surface of the standing wall 10 are generated, the air stream turns to the rear side of the standing wall 10 at the upper end section of the standing wall 10 and interferes the flow along the front wall of the standing wall 10 thereby generating eddy current at the oblique reward side of the standing wall 10 due to the secondary flow of the air streams. On the other hand, the leading edge effect of boundary layer and the mixing effect of the stream may be obtained by passing the air stream through an opening 12 provided immediately after the standing walls 10, 11. Further, one part of the air stream, passed through the opening 12, and the eddy due to the secondary stream interferes mutually and promote the disturbance of air stream at the front and rear sides of the fin 5 while another part of the air stream collides against the standing wall 11 and promotes generation of eddy current there, therefore, the heat transfer coefficient may be increased remarkably. |
