PURPOSE:To reduce a device in size and to improve erasing efficiency by arranging an erasing part and integrating part on a reading part and arranging a read sheet carrying means between the reading part and the erasing part so that a sheet surface is turned upwards even at the erasing part. CONSTITUTION:In the reading part 2, an accumulative fluorescent sheet 1 is scanned by excited light 21 and light emitted from the sheet 1 is read out by a photoelectric reading means 22. The read sheet 1 is carried to the erasing part 3 by the read sheet carrying means 30 arranged between the reading part 2 and the erasing part 3. The carrying part 30 is composed of a belt conveyer, a roller, etc. and constituted of a switch back format for carrying the sheet 1 in the reading part 2 from the horizontal direction to the upward direction, and while descending the sheet 1 downwards, carrying it to the erasing part 3 in the horizontal direction. Consequently, the sheet surface 1a turned upwards in the reading part is also turned upwards in the erasing part 3 to execute efficient erasing. Then, the sheet 1 is carried to the integrating part 4 on the reading part 2 by an erased sheet carrying means 31.
