PURPOSE:To prevent the damage caused by thunderbolt and the damage caused by the access of birds and beasts at the same time, by providing a lightening arrester and a guard metal. CONSTITUTION:A lightening arrester and a guard metal are provided on the surface of a solar-battery array 1. The lightening current flowing through the lightening arrester 7 is discharged to the ground through a plate metal 8, which is attached to the lightening arrester 7 and has excellent conductivity, and a guard wire 9. Thus the solar-battery array can be protected from the damage caused by thunderbolt. A supporting frame 11 and an outer frame 13 are arranged on the surface of the solar-battery array 1. An insulating wire 9a is aligned in parallel with the guard wire 9 along the suppoting frame 11 and the outer frame 13 so that the wire 9a is crossed with the wire 9 at a right angle at some places. Short needle-shaped projections 10 are planted in the wire 9a so as to face upward. A protecting net is constituted by the guard wire 9 and the insulating guard wire 9a. By the protecting net and the needle shaped projections 10, accessing or stopping of birds and beasts to or on the upper part of the solar-battery array can be prevented. Impairment of generating performance due to the local shielding of sunlight can be prevented. |
