PURPOSE:To enable an automatic welding without interfering with the wall of a bevelling even in case of a complicated welding bevelling by controlling all the times the rotation of the wire feeding means so as to locate it in the contact line direction of the curved line like bevelling. CONSTITUTION:The curvilinear coordinates or equation of the weld bevelling 1 is stored in advance corresponding to the running distance on the memory part of the controlling circuit 27 of a direction controlling means 19. On starting the welding work the roller 9 of one end of the arm 8 being fitted to the truck 5 is moved along the lateral profiling template 10 with the movement of the truck 5 on a travelling rail 4. As a result the welding torch 13 being fitted to this other end with the horizontal movement of the arm 8 to the right and left is moved along the curved line of the weld bevelling 1. On the other hand the filler wire 16 rolled out of a wire reel 17 is guided inside the wire guide of a wire feeding means, fed for the weld bevelling 1 of the tip part of the torch 13 and the welding is performed in order. The wire guide is freely rotatable at the prescribed angle in a horizontal direction and the direction is controlled so as to become in the contact line direction of the curved line.
