PURPOSE:To provide a coated electrode for a high-alloy steel which is easily produceable, obviates rod burn and lessens the segregation of a weld metal by coating an alloy component by thermal spraying, etc. to the surface of a steel core wire and coating further the same with a flux. CONSTITUTION:The alloy component is coated on the surface of the steel core wire by spraying thermally >=1 kinds among Ni, Cr, Mo, the alloy thereof and the iron alloy thereof. The thickness of the thermally sprayed film is selected in an about 0.01-3mm range. The flux which is a slag forming component is coated to about 1-5mm thickness to provide the coated electrode for the high-alloy steel. The electrode is easily produceable and has excellent weldability and workability. |
