PURPOSE:To prevent the shielding of light flux by a conductor connected by containing, within a surface light reflector having reflecting surfaces in its lower part and the inside of its side pat, a cold cathode-type fluorescent lamp and instaling a conductor connected to the conductor ring of the lamp outside the surface light reflector. CONSTITUTION:A cold cathode-type fluorescent lamp 1 is installed with conductor rings 2, 2' installed close to its electrodes 5-1, 5-2 to lower starting voltage and homogenize mercury ion density and connected through conductors 4, 4' to electrode leads 6-1, 6-2 facing them respectively. And a surface light source equipment is formed by containing a surface light reflector 8 having reflective plates in its lower and side parts in a box 7 while installing the lamp 1 in such a position that its parts near the two electrodes 5-1, 5-2 are projected out of the surface light reflector 8, and conductors 4, 4' are placed in the space between the box 7 and the surface light reflector 8. Therefore, light flux of the lamp 1 is not shielded so that it is possible to prevent loss or unevenness of brightness. |
