The present invention relates to a bucket elevator device intended in particular for carrying loose products between a bucket filling station and a station for discharging the said buckets by turning them over, the stations being located in places of different altitude, of the type comprising a frame supporting a bucket chain guided bilaterally by first rolling and/or guidance parts cooperating with a first guide path, and a device for driving the movement of the chain around a closed circuit. According to the invention the device comprises second 2 and third 3 rolling and/or guidance parts integral with each of the buckets and cooperating with second and third rolling and guidance paths shaped to allow in particular a substantially vertical elevation of the buckets between the lower and upper curves without overlapping of the buckets, in pairs, consecutively, while keeping the opening plane of the buckets substantially horizontal between the said filling and discharging stations.
