A linen weave is used as the basic woven structure for terry weave fabric, where the pile warps can be secured in all types, independently of the type of shed mechanism. In the first weft gr/oup, while forming the pile tufts the movement of the first warp from the basic weave is in the sequence of high shed-low shed-high shed, while for the second weft group the first warp is moved in the sequence low shed-high shed-low shed. The second warp from the basic woven is operated opposite to the movements of the first. The weft repeat takes in six wefts. The first warp from the basic weave is manipulated in the order high shed-low shed-high shed, while the movement of the second warp is exactly the opposite, giving a weft repeat of four wefts. The pile tufts are bonded to the third weft, or the bonding can be chosen to alternate between the second and third weft.
