Method for manufacturing battened sails for a sailboard. The invention relates to a method for manufacturing battened sails for a sailboard, allowing the rotation of the battens about the mast without direct or indirect friction of the latter against the mast. By creating a high tension on a cable 1 roped to the hoister of the sail, this cable, due to its natural tendency to assume the position of a chord 2 with respect to the arc 3 which the curved mast represents, counters the thrust of the battens 4 and thus their tendency to extend past the rear face of the mast, regardless of the degree to which the sail is hoisted home to the clew point 5. <IMAGE>
