<p>The 2-propanol deriv. of formula (I) is made by (a) reacting 3,4-dimethoxyphenyl ethylamine (II) with 1-chloro 2,3-dihydroxy propane to obtain a cpd. of formula (III); (b) reacting this with p-toluene sulphonyl chloride in presence of a base to give a cpd. of formula (IV); and (c) reacting (IV) with m-cresol in presence of a base.</p> |
