Oxadiazolinone derivs. and analogues of formula (I) are new. X, Y = O or S; R1 = halogen, 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C haloalkyl or 1-3C alkoxy; R2 = halogen, opt. unsatd. 1-6C hydrocarbyl (opt. substd. by halogen), (1-6C) alkoxycarbonyl, 1-6C alkylamino, phenylazo (opt. substd. by 1-6C alkyl), or A-R; A = O or S; R = opt. unsatd. 1-6C hydrocarbyl (opt. substd. by halogen, Ph and/or PhO) or aryl contg. up to 10 ring members and 1 or 2 may be N (and opt. substd. by halogen, CN, 1-6C haloalkyl and/or NO2); n = 0-3; m = 1-5.
