PURPOSE:To stabilize the charged potential of a high-sensitivity photosenstive body when the photosensitive body is continuously used at a high speed, by irradiating more the light of >=6,200Angstrom of one of two light sources upon the photosensitive body at the first time of rotation when the copying operation is restarted if the stopping period is longer. CONSTITUTION:A light source 8 having a peak wavelength of >=6,200Angstrom and another light source 7 having a peak wavelength of <=6,000Angstrom are arranged in the order around a photosensitive body 1. The stopping period of the photosensitive body 1 is calculated by an operation circuit 12 from the time at which a copy starting signal is sent and the time at which a copy ending signal is sent, both of which are stored in a memory 1, and, at the first rotation of the photosensitive body when the body is restarted after the stopping period has passed, the longer the stopping period is, the moth quantity of light of the light source 8 is irradiated upon the photosensitive body by controlling the light source 8 by means of an output switching circuit 13. Therefore, the charged potential of the high-sensitivity photosensitive body is stabilized when the body is continuously used at a high speed and rise in residual potential can be prevented. |
