PURPOSE:To decide automatically a specific position control system having a fault by obtaining the product polarity between the position difference correction amount and the differential value of a speed feedback signal of the position control system. CONSTITUTION:A speed feedback signal (a) of a motor is supplied to a differentiating circuit 18 for output of a differential signal da/dt. This signal da/dt is supplied to a fault decider 20 for control system together with a position difference correction signal (a') and a position control fault signal ES. While another speed feedback signal (b) of the motor is supplied to a differentiating circuit 19 for output of differential signal db/dt. This signal db/dt is supplied to the fault decider 20 together with a position error correction signal (b') and the signal ES. Then the fault deciding conditions of control systems 1 and 2 are defined as a'Xda/dt>=0 and b'Xdb/dt>=0 respectively. |
